Wasim Jaffer Former Indian Cricketer Not Happy With Indian Squad For Tour Of West Indies He Raises 3 Big Questions For Selectors

Wasim Jaffer On Indian Squad: Indian Test and ODI team going on West Indies tour has been announced. BCCI announced both the teams last Friday (June 23). The Indian team included many young players in the Test squad, including players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad. At the same time, before this selection of Team India, Indian player Wasim Zafar appeared completely unhappy.

Zafar raised three questions on the selectors regarding the Indian squad. In this, he questioned the star players of domestic cricket, Sarfaraz Khan, Ishwaran and Panchal. Apart from this, Zafar looked completely surprised when Shami was given rest. At the same time, he also questioned the inclusion of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the Test team.

Wasim Zafar asked these three questions

In the first question, he said that what is the need of four opening batsmen in the team? Instead they could have picked Sarfaraz as an additional middle order batsman to respect his consistent domestic performances.

In the second question, Wasim Zafar said that Easwaran and Panchal are also working hard in Ranji and India-A and have been knocking on the doors of Test matches for a long time. Just because they don’t play IPL, is it a case of out of mind? How did Ruturaj get in the queue?

Apart from this, while asking the third question, the former Indian batsman said that he is surprised to see Shami being given rest after a long break of one month. I think he is such a bowler that the more he bowls, the better/fit and in form he gets.

The tour will start from July 12

On the West Indies tour, the Indian team will play a series of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and T20 Internationals. The tour will start from July 12 with a Test match to be played in Dominica. After this the ODI series will start on 27th July and T20 International matches will start from 3rd August.
